AEG opens Clan Stores

by Lynn Little on May.12, 2010, under L5R

For those Legend of the Five Rings(L5R) fans who have longed to show their clan pride, finally AEG has heard your cries. As part of AEG’s main online store, they now have L5R clan stores. In the clan store, you can find merchandise tailored to your favorite clan from hoodies to deck backers. AEG is also selling L5R foils. For $20, you get:

• One copy of your Clan Champion
• One copy of each of your Clan’s three Strongholds
• Three copies of your Clan Holding
• One copy of your Clan’s Celestial
• One copy of Border Keep
• One copy of Bamboo Harvester

Thanks AEG. Now I will never have to fret over Father’s Day, Christmas, or anniversary gifts.

Slow Gaming Month

by Joseph Little on Sep.07, 2009, under CCG, L5R, Pathfinder, RPG

I really hate it but I have done VERY little gaming the past month. My own campaign has fallen to the way side as things have gotten busy. I was able to attend an L5R seal tournament for Path of the Destroyer. I won the tournament playing Spider against 2 Scorpions, 1 Unicorn, and 1 other Spider player. In similar news I also win again as I expect two boxes of PotD in tomorrow. Time for a half day at work!

In other news, I subscribe to the Pathfinder Adventure Path service that Paizo provides and have considered writing reviews of each. So don’t be surprised to NOT see that here any time soon. :)

L5R Celestial Edition

by admin on May.27, 2009, under L5R

The CCG Legends of the Five Rings is coming out with its newest base set this summer – the Celestial Edition. It’s due out June 22nd. Of course there will be pre-release tournaments. Already JoeGamer and company are making plans to attend one. The last pre-release I didn’t attend but thought about going to this one. Participating is another story since I’ve only played L5R once or twice. I doubt I can learn enough to actually play by the end of June since L5R is a pretty complicated(but fun!) game.

The Imperial Gift(2) will also become available to any player that wants it. It includes two decks so you are ready to teach anyone how to play L5R. The Imperial gift is really cool in that it’s a set of free cards to players. The set is released in increments but will be a full set when completed later this year.

It’s my goal with Celestial to really start playing L5R and getting into the game with a base set should be easier than trying to start in the middle of a series.

To learn more about Celestial, visit Alderac’s L5R Celestial Edition web page.
